Trying to forget all those fucking LIES you whispered to me.

Your arms were wrapped around me,
                                            Holding me tight in a false embrace.
I could feel your hot breath whispering in my ear,
                                            Telling me you needed me here with you.

At that moment,
My world was perfect.

Feeling you close,
             Feeling your touch,
                           Feeling your soft kisses on my neck…

              Fake as it all may have been.

I believed your lies just so I’d never have to leave your goddamn arms.

Look where it got me.
                        NOWHERE.

You and your lips of deceit almost did me in.

It
   all
       spiraled
                downward, as we pretended to be happy.

None of us ever were.
